On 19th September 2024, the EPF community organized the first EPF Informal Day in Corte, Corsica, hosted by the University Pascal Paoli, partner of the project. This special event gave us the opportunity to share with students and teachers from various nationalities the EPF project and a close up on the state of the art on gender equality across Europe.
The students worked in groups to highlight the issues still hindering the achievement of gender equality and what possible solutions could be put in place to tackle the issues. We also had the great pleasure to meet the students of the workshop organized by illustrator Julie Bois, who paid a great tribute to committed Mediterranean women by drawing portraits of women from Algeria, Palestinia, Libya, Corsica, Egypt, Italy, Tunisia, Cyprus, Slovenia and more. To close a very meaningful and participated day, the screening of documentary I was by Lavinie Boffy, addressing sexual violence against women and the birth of the collective I was Corsica.
