On 30 October at the Convitto Nazionale Canopoleno Sassari the Local Meeting “STEM training without gender distinction” was held. The event opened with the vision of an “impossible monologue” by Hypatia of Alexandria in Egypt, a Greek scientist and philosopher – an input to introduce the topic of STEM education and its diffusion among women.
At the event partecipated women and researchers. Maria Giovanna Dessì of the Elda Mazzocchi Scarzella Association finally presented the activity carried out on two European projects on STEM integration and training. Integration creates real added value in the creation and development of synergies based on gender equality and non-discrimination. Many students also participated in the event, for whom the topic of choice is more relevant than ever.
